The High Land Beekeeping Club meets on the third Thursday of the month from 7PM to 8PM. We are currently meeting on Zoom and a link to the meeting is sent to every member prior to the meeting. We hope to meet in person when the current health restrictions allow. We meet from January through October – not November or December. Bill Collins, Chairman and Professor of the Chemistry Department at Ft. Lewis College. In addition, he heads up the Ft. Lewis College bee club and does a great amount of bee related research. He also works with 4 Corners Beekeepers Assoc.
Amy Franklin, MS, DVM is a Honey Bee Vet, providing Disease Testing, Hive Inspection, as well as other services. She is also participating in the CSBA Master Beekeeping Program at the Journeyman Level.
Kirsten Traynor, PhD. In 2006-2007, Kirsten received a German Chancellor Fellowship & drove over 50,000 miles throughout Western Europe to study the differences between European & American beekeeping. She reported her findings through 50+ published articles in American Bee Journal.
